PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device capable of efficiently manufacturing a coil spring.SOLUTION: A coiling machine includes a material guide; a first pin; a second pin; a pitch tool; a display operation part 35 for inputting the shape data of a coil spring to be formed; and drive mechanisms 41, 42 for moving the first pin and the second pin based on the input shape data. A control device 50 enlarges a distance to the first pin and a distance to the second pin from the tip of the material guide in proportion to the enlargement of the coil diameter of the coil spring to be formed, and controls the positions of the first pin and second pin such that the number-of-turns position of a contact point of the second pin to a machine center is constant regardless of the coil diameter. The control device 50 includes a means for obtaining the predicted shape of the coil spring to be formed based on the shape data, and a means for displaying the predicted shape. |
