An operation button for an elevator, the operation button being operated by an elevator user, has a metallic button cap, an adhesion layer which is provided on the rear surface of the button cap, and a resin molded body which is provided to the rear surface of the button cap and which is integrated by insert molding with the button cap while the adhesion layer is provided therebetween. The button cap has a front plate section and a side plate section which protrudes from the outer periphery of the front plate section to the rear side. The strength of binding of the adhesion layer to the metal which constitutes the button cap and to the resin which constitutes the molded body is greater than the strength of binding of the molded body to the metal which constitutes the button cap. |
