摘要 PURPOSE: To provide the method and device for decoding encoded data with which noises harmful for hearing are reduced by replacing the coefficient of a frequency area where a transmission error is generated. CONSTITUTION: The method and device for decoding encoded data is provided with a means storing the frequency area coefficient processed in the preceding block of a current block under processing at all times and when the transmission error is generated in encoded data, the frequency area coefficient processed in the preceding block is divided into the even-number (including '0') frequency area coefficient and the odd-number frequency area coefficient. Then, the code of the odd-number frequency area coefficient is inverted and synthesized with the even-number (including '0') frequency area coefficient later, a frequency area coefficient is constituted and that frequency area coefficient is outputted in place of the frequency area coefficient from which the transmission error is detected.
