FIELD: ammunition for smoothbore hunting and sporting weapons. SUBSTANCE: obturator 3, shock absorber 4, gauge plastic container 5 with shot charge 6 placed in it are positioned in cartridge case 1 with powder charge 2. Container 5 has bottom 7 and head 8 with longitudinal nicks 9 for opening container 5. On the external end face surface of head 8 provision is made for recess 10 and its internal surface 11 is made hemispherical. Container 5 is flush-mounted in cartridge case 1 and fixed in it with the aid of tapered bulge of head. Bottom 7 and obturator 3 are made as separate members. At the instant of fire the pressure of powder gases through obturator 3, shock absorber 4 and bottom 7 is transferred to plastic container 5 accommodating shot charge 6, and they start joint motion in the barrel as an integral part. When container 5 comes out of muzzle aerodynamic air drag due to recess 10 actively moves apart head 8 of container 5 in nicks 9, clearing out the path for shot charge 6 without deforming it. Internal hemispherical surface 11 of head 8 also facilitates the free exit of shot charge 6 from container 5 due to the influence of shot charge 6 proper on it. Under the action of counter flow container 5 is retarded and prevents bottom 7, shock absorber 4 and obturator 3 to overtake shot charge 6 which prevents it from deformation and improves its ballistic properties.
