The walking aid consists of arm support, length-adjustable shaft, hand grip, and end section. An elastically flexible damper part (5) is also connected to the shaft. The part consists of solid rubber or elastic plastic, and has circumferential grooves. It is located between the end section and the lower end of the shaft. The damper part may form the end section. It has a contact face (7) formed by a circular disc, which can be deformed and angled relative to the shaft. An additional damper part may be located between hand grip and shaft. The part is exchangeable.
