Crushing and briquetting plant for plaster residues and bio-materials

Plaster residues and biomaterials are briquetted in a plant having a charging bunker (1), from which material passes to crushing rolls (2) underneath and then to a combining and metering screw (4). From a horizontal conveying member (30), material passes into a screw compactor (6) which feeds an extruded strand upwards past the bunker to a fly cutter (13) which cuts it into briquettes, which are ejected. An extractor hood (18) is pref. mounted above the bunker which exhausts odours from the bunker and air for cooling the strand, the air being supplied to an air channel adjacent to the strand to cool it after passing through a filter.
