PURPOSE: To provide a map plotting device capable of enhancing a scrolling performance by reducing a plotting amount needed at the time of a scroll. CONSTITUTION: This map plotting device 100 has a plotting area setting means 50 setting the size of a plotting area from scroll information corresponding to a scroll operation, a data readin processing means 47 reading out map data corresponding to the set plotting area in a mesh unit from a map storage device, a map dividing means 32 generating divided map data by dividing read map data into sizes suitable to the plotting processings in a map plotting means 44 and the map plotting means 44 generating graphic information by executing the plotting processings of divided map data equivalent to the set plotting area and a graphic processing means 49. |
