The double layer cladding or facade is esp. for a power station. The inner layer (1) may consist of rectangular sheets of metal (5-1,5-2) held on vertical girders (7) of T-section with the flanges covering the vertical edges of the sheets. Angle irons (27) are bolted to the vertical girders, and support the upper (10) and lower (11) edges of adjacent metal cladding sheets which are bent at right-angles to form flanges extending through the thickness of the wall. The ends of the flanges are sharply bent downward through another right-angle, and the outer cladding sheets (2) are bolted to these. The outer cladding sheets are corrugated, with the corrugations running vertically. Thick heat insulating material (3) fills the space between the inner and outer cladding sheets.
