The roof segments are each connected at the narrow sides to pivoted fastening elements, which move along a roof-fastened guide track. Each fastening element (23a-20d) has an associated locking element (31), which is also actuated directly by one of the two neighbouring fastening elements. There is a pivot device for at least partial outward pivoting of the fastening elements forming one end of the segment unit, before the opening movement of the segments begins.
