Flap for shutting off top-open channel, esp. for inlet to hydraulic plant or clarifier

The flap comprises a plate (1) which extends between the side walls (4) of the channel, and which is sealingly connected to the floor section of the channel. The flap further comprises fan-shaped foldable shut-off strips (6) for bridging of cracks. The strips are sealingly attached with one edge to side-wall (4) of channel, and with the other edge to the side edge (5) of the plate. The flap has a swivel and hold device which is attached to the plate and which comprises a traction device (8), e.g. rope, chain, rod etc. between the shut-off strip and the respective side-wall. The shut-off strip is made of a flexible material.
