Hydraulic piston movement system

When a first valve (108) between pump (104) and piston sector (110) of the cylinder (102) is open (a), the piston moves in direction (A) as against the closed valve condition (b) which produces a second piston movement in direction (B). The pump and cylinder piston (114) are connected via a first water flow regulator (112). The two conditions of a second valve (116), used as hydraulic link between a fluid reservoir (118) and the cylinder piston sector, draw fluid over from reservoir to piston sector during movement in direction (A), whilst in the second position excess fluid drains back from sector into the reservoir. A pressure limiting device (12) is arranged between pump and an overflow reservoir (122). Fluid entry to the pump can be blocked by a first nonreturn valve (106) placed between pump and flow regulator, using the closed setting of the regulator to act as a second nonreturn valve here used to stop off flow from pump to cylinder piston sector.
