Pressure moulding device for manufacturing compound isolators

The device has a pair of mould parts, each with an individual hollow for formation of an insulator housing, at least one separating plate (7) built into one mould part near the hollow and at a position radially outside the hollow, and a bias device for forcing the separating plate against the other mould part so that an outer end section of the separating plate can protrude from the separating face of one mould part to the other mould part when the mould is opened. When the mould is closed the plate resides within one mould part. A further device prevents the plate from being removed from a mould part, whereby the outer end of the plate is brought into contact with a mould division surface of one mould part by the bias device when the mould is closed. The micromolecular material in the hollow is thus prevented from escaping between the separating surfaces.
