The toilet has a concrete hopper including a dung drain gutter connected to a septic tank or sewer, and also to a tank containing water or other liquid. A hand-operated rotary sweeping mechanism is provided, whose rubber strips clean the entire hopper surface. Turning is by a handwheel roughly 100 cm above ground level and actuated from a plank.
