Weft cutter at loom

A cutter unit for a yarn, at a loom and especially a multi-shed loom, is a powered system with a stable position, with two ring sections (11,12) which butt together for working with a moving cutter. The sections (11,12) have continuous rising cutting surfaces, so that at the butting point (19) the surfaces are axially displaced. Also claimed is a loom with a weft insertion tube at the weft transfer unit. The cutting plane is at a gap of at least 0.5 mm from the opening of the weft insertion tube.
