摘要 This gearbox (7) comprises a main shaft (8) carrying pinions (10, ... 15) and corresponding to the various gears, an output shaft (22) on which pinions (16, ... 21) are freely mounted always in engagement with the pinions of the main shaft, and synchronisers (25, 26 and 44); the box is provided with a reduction gear (32) having at least two pinions (34, 35) mounted freely on a secondary shaft (33) parallel to the main shaft (8); the pinions (34, 35) are in engagement with pinions (14, 13) of the main shaft with various ratios corresponding to various ranges of gears; a synchroniser (36) interposed between these pinions (34, 35) makes it possible to secure one or other to the shaft (33) and thus to drive the corresponding pinion (14, 13) of the main shaft, and a gearing (38, 37) provides the connection between the secondary shaft and the end of an input drive shaft (9) extending through the main shaft (8) which is hollow. This gearbox may equip an "all-terrain" vehicle by adding to it a second range of lower gears, allowing the vehicle to get out of difficult ground whilst preventing the clutch from being destroyed. <IMAGE>
