Device for indicating plate wear in a coupling (1) contained in a housing (4) and located between a motor (2) and gearbox (3). Coupling is created by a work piston (13) entering a slave cylinder (12) arranged concentrically relative to at least one of the axles (10, 11) from the motor or gearbox. The indicator device (22) is a flexible, non-stretchable strip of material passed through a guide body (21) to project out of it at either end, the first end (23) of the strip being connected to the slave cylinder inside the coupling housing and being guided the in a direction parallel to the movement of the piston. The other end (24) of the strip can be moved manually so that the first end is joined to a projecting part (14) of the piston. Plate wear is measured by determining the length of the second end of the strip sticking out from the guide body and coupling housing after the other end of the strip has been secured to the projecting part of the piston. |
