PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption without necessitating precharge every time one line of display data is outputted in a display driving circuit which drives a display device such as LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) even when the memory capacity of a display data RAM is scaled up with the scale-up of the display screen. CONSTITUTION: An address generating circuit 22 outputs precharge signals PR at a rate of once every two line pulse signals LP corresponding to a segment display timing signal of an LCD. Every time a precharge signal PR is outputted, the display data for one image screen stored in the display data RAM 21 is read out by two lines each and latched to a 64ch×2ch latch circuit 24 in response to latch clocksϕ. In synchronization with a line pulse signal LP, the display data of the 1st line and that of the 2nd line are successively outputted to a segment display driver 25 to be displayed.
