PURPOSE: To provide an image forming method in which the gradation fluctuation of a highlight part is minimized even in a continuous processing with a color developer with small overflow quantity, and no color turbidity is generated. CONSTITUTION: This image forming method is characterized by that the overflow quantity of a color developer is not more than 75cc per m<2> of photosensitive material when a silver halide photosensitive material having at least one layer each of photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and non-photosensitive layer (photograph constituting layer) on a support body and containing a yellow coupler represented by the formula is continuously developed after exposure. In the formula, R1 represents an alkyl group or cycloalkyl group, R2 represents an alkyl group, cycloalkyl group or aryl group, R3 represents a group substitutable on benzene ring, (m) represents an integer of 0-4, R4 represents a substitutent having a Hammett's substituent constant valueσp of -0.12-0.15 or hydrogen atom, R5 and R6 each represent hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, alkoxy group or aryl group.
