Conical loudspeaker centring section fixing system

The fixing system allows the centring section (7) for the oscillation coil carrier (4) to be secured to the plastics loudspeaker cone (2) using an annular fixing shoulder (15) defined by the latter for supporting a ring (9) around the edge of the centring section. The fixing shoulder is provided with a projecting rib (17) which can be welded to the ring via an ultrasonic welding device, or via an annular heating die so that the rib material melts and penetrates the mesh fibres of the ring to form a permanent bond.
