PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce required memory capacity by providing an access port which receives a prescribed number of registers and memory to store the register of a register file in a processor. SOLUTION: The processor 50 is provided with the register file 28 of the register, and a dispatch unit 18 which issues (i) instructions of a program to an execution unit 20 provided with (z) pipelines 26a to 26z at every cycle. The processor 50 designates several number of registers of the file 28 to which the instruction is being issued as source operands, and also, designates several number of registers of the register file 28 as destination registers. The processor 50 stores the register of the register file 28, and also, equipped with the memory 58 provided with N access ports (N: value less than the maximum value of a register value requiring access in a cycle) at every cycle. |
