摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more improve the printing speed or the accuracy of a printed image. SOLUTION: P-polarized light component P1 and S-polarized light component S1 are synthesized in a 1st polarizing beam splitter 11, and the synthesized beam is emitted as circularly polarized light components R1 and R2 rotating in a reverse direction to each other by a 1stλ/4 plate 21. A 2nd polarizing beam splitter 12 emits the P-polarized light component P2 and the S-polarized light component S2 in a direction perpendicular to the emitting direction of the beam splitter 11. The synthesized beam consisting of the P-polarized light component and the S-polarized light component emitted from the splitter 12 is emitted as the circularly polarized light components R3 and R4 rotating in the reverse direction to each other by a 2ndλ/4 plate 22. The circularly polarized light components R1 and R2 , and R3 and R4 are emitted as four linearly polarized light components by a 3rd polarizing beam splitter 13 and outputted as four linearly polarized light components R3 to R6 by a 3rdλ/4 plate 23.
