摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a soil-resistant glass having improved heat resistance, water resistance and weatherability by bonding and forming a chemical adsorption membrane composed of a surface active agent on a dealkalized glass surface. SOLUTION: For example a glass substrate 1 is immersed in about 10% aqueous solution of sulfuric acid at 90-98 deg.C for 1 day and night and washed with water to form layer 2. As the result of this treatment Na and K are solved out from the proximity of surface in about 2μrange of the glass substrate giving layer 2 almost free from alkaline. Meanwhile, a solution for chemical absorption composed of 3×10<3> mol/l of a fluorosilane surface active agent containing fluorocarbon group and chlorosillyl group is prepared in a non- aqueous solvent composed of 80% of n-hexadecane, 12% of carbon tetrachloride and 8% of chloroform. The dealkalized glass is immersed in this solution for 1 hour at room temperature in a dry ambience of less than 10% humidity, then washed with non-aqueous solution. By this treatment many hydroxy groups come to exist on the surface of layer 2, and cause dehydrochlorination with the chlorosillyl groups in the surface active agent to form a chemical-absorption membrane 3.
