PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal body-holding container of an electromagnetic calorimeter wherein a fragile CsI crystal can be used as a light emission substance, particles scattered radially by a collision ass with high efficiency, and many CsI crystals can be densely arranged as a whole cylindrically and radially to a position of the collision without performing a fine processing and with a small internal stress. SOLUTION: A plurality of sections are formed in the periphery of a thin cylindrical tube 4. A plurality of the sections are partitioned by a plurality of longitudinal partitions 12 and lateral partitions 14. A crystal body is inserted in each section in a manner to be in a tight contact with the both partitions in this holding container. A plurality of slits 4a, 4b spaced a distance are formed at positions where the thin cylindrical tube 4 in contact with the partitions. Inner end parts of the partitions are fitted and welded in the slits. At an intersection of the diaphragms, slits 12b, 15a are formed in the partitions to extend in the radial direction. Tongue parts 15b connect the both partitions.
