Device for moving container, especially on rack feeder

The device has one motor (7) which either rotates two horizontal parallel chain drives (5), or moves a frame (3) on the linear rack (8). One of the chain wheels (4) can be braked or disengaged from the drive whilst the whole unit comprising chains (5a,5b) and wheels on the frame is moved via a pinion (9) meshing with a chain drive towards a container (1). The hooks (6a,6b) engage a coupling recess (2) on the container. By means of moving and positioning the hooks on the chains and the whole unit on the frame, the containers are pulled or pushed in a straight line without sideways motion.
