摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately set radiation dose irradiating an object. SOLUTION: This radiation detector shown by a chain line is provided in an image pickup device 3, and a planar scintillate 5 emitting light by radiation X transmitted through a person to be photographed, an optical image detection part 6 and a light quantity monitor part 7 are arranged from a radiation incident surface 4 side in the device 3. Many solid-state photodetecting elements are two-dimensionally formed on the front surface of a transparent glass substrate 8 by a photlihographic method at the optical image detection part 6 bonded with the scintillator 5. The solid-state photodetecting element is formed on the back surface of the substrate 8 by the photolithgraphic method at the monitor part 7 so as to detect the light transmitted through the substrate 8 and reaching the back surface of the substrate 8 out of the light to which the radiation X is converted by the scintillator 5. Then, the irradiation of radiation X is stopped when a light quantity obtained by the monitor part 7, that means, the radiation dose attains a specified quantity.
