Temporary sealing of gas supply pipes

The equipment may seal a gas pipe while work is being done. To seal a gas pipe, an elastic inflatable balloon (7) is inserted into the pipe. The balloon is filled from outside with a fluid (10) via a hose (8), until the pipe is completely closed, and the fluid in the balloon is frozen. The balloon is inserted via a pressure lock, and the fluid is frozen by expanding or evaporating a compressed or liquefied gas near the balloon. The gas is CO2 and the fluid is water. The hose passes through a gas-tight passage (13) in the open end of the gas pipe. The passage or pressure lock have a window.
