Noise damping system in which the insulation material (3) is enclosed within a rigid, flat and partially perforated (4) enclosure (5). The enclosure consists of corrosion-free sheets and has a perforated upper side (6) and a perforated under side (7). The metal sheet has a thickness (d) of between 1mm and 3mm and the enclosure has a height (h) of between 5cm and 15cm. The enclosure has a filigree structure.
