PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method, for the liquid surface level of an in-furnace molten object, in which the liquid surface level of the in-furnace molten object can be detected non-aggressively and with good accuracy. SOLUTION: Elastic waves are transmitted toward the inside of a furnace 100 in a direction nearly perpendicular to a furnace wall surface from a plurality of elastic-wave transmitting-receiving elements 111 to 114 installed in the height direction of the outer wall of the furnace 100. Their reflected waves are received, and the liquid surface level of an in-furnace molten object 101 is measured on the basis of the reflected waves received by the respective elastic-wave transmitting-receiving elements. At this time, the means value of wave heights of the reflected waves in the plurality of elastic-wave transmitting-receiving elements 111 to 114 is computed 131 to 134 , 152 , and the liquid surface level is computed 16 on the basis of the mean value of the wave heights and on the basis of means values 141 to 144 , 151 of installation heights of the plurality of elastic-wave transmitting-receiving elements 111 to 114 which compute the mean value of the wave heights. |
