Fixing device for railing on vehicle roof

The fixing device for a car roof (1) includes at least two holding elements (3) which are able to be fixed to a component (4) of the bodywork, holding a fixing bolt (5) which passes through a through aperture (6) in the roof. The fixing bolt can be moved on the holding element transversely to its longitudinal axis. An assembly aid (12) centres the fixing bolt in the through aperture. This aid can be fitted to the bolt and removed from it. A sealing or underlay washer (9) may be fitted on the bolt between the holding element and the roof.
