Hand-operated insect trap

The trap and removal device (10) protects occupants of a room by getting rid of insects and other unwanted vermin. It has an upward-facing opening (16), through which the insects enter, in a catching box (12) box which may slide telescopically into another box. This second box a covering lid and is open at the bottom. There is a triangular guillotine arrangement (38) in the end of the catching box. The guillotine is pushed upward by springs (40) and is pulled downward by a wire or cord (41) connected to a pull ring operated by the user. A second wire may be used to pull the second box with the lid backward, uncovering the catching opening.
