METHOD OF ERGOCRYSTINE PREPARING

FIELD: natural compounds, alkaloids. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of preparing ergocristine from ergot with the decreased content of ergocristine and concomitant alkaloids (ergocristinine and ergotamine). Example: 10 kg milled ergots (content of ergocristine + ergocristinine is 0.21% and ergotamine - 0.02%) were extracted three-fold with 100 l 50% aqueous acetone containing 100 ml concentrated $$$ (at 20 C for 1 h for each extraction at stirring). The combined extracts were evaporated and 25% $$$ is added to an aqueous residue to pH = 8-9 followed by extraction with 5 l $$$ (4 times). Extract is evaporated to 400 ml and poured in 4 l petroleum ether at 70-100 C. Precipitate (38.1 g) is dissolved in a mixture of 300 ml acetone, 150 ml ethanol and 4.5 ml 85% $$$ and heated for 1 h. In 12 h 22.3 g ergocristine phosphate precipitate is obtained (content is 98.2%). Yield is 93%. EFFECT: improved method of preparing and purification.
