PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly stiff and highly heat-resistant composite material comprising a polypropylene resin and a layered silicate. SOLUTION: This polypropylene resin compsn. comprises 99.9-90wt.% propylene homopolymer or copolymer of propylene and ethylene and/or a 4-12Cα-olefin and 0.1-10wt.% layered silicate dispersed therein with a particle size of 0.5μm or lower and is produced by (co)polymerizing propylene alone or together with ethylene and/or a 4-12Cα-olefin in the presence of a stereoregular polymn. catalyst and a layered silicate.
