A cam cleat comprises moveable cam elements(2,3) which define a plurality of teeth adapted to engage a rope. The teeth on the cam element comprise at least one region where the teeth are relatively fine, being spaced apart on a relatively small pitch, and a further region where the teeth are spaced apart on a larger pitch. The teeth of fine pitch are provided on part of the cam that will engage a rope of relatively small diameter, and the teeth that are spaced apart on a larger pitch are located on part of the cam that will engage a rope of relatively large diameter. <IMAGE> |
