The container for cold fluids has a fluid inlet (32) which can be connected to a condenser and a fluid outlet which can be connected to an evaporator. It contains a dehumidifying filter (94). The container has an expansion valve (80) which is connected on one side with an inlet chamber (42) formed in the container that contains the filter. On the other side the valve is connected to an outlet chamber (44), also formed in the container, and separated by a special element (40) from it. The expansion valve is mounted outside the container. The inlet chamber is in the lower part of the container and the outlet chamber in the upper part.
