<p>A pipe joint has a sleeve element (1, 23) and a spigot element (6, 7, 22). According to the invention, stresses are no longer absorbed only by the abutment, but mainly by the thread of the pipe joint. By appropriately selecting pitches and gaps between teeth in one element, the guiding flank at one end is braced against the flank under load at the other end of the thread. The bracing force is the highest at the edges of the thread and decreases towards the middle of the thread.</p> |
