Tow bar for single-axle trailers

The tow bar consists of a tractor fastening (2) and a trailer (1) fastening (4). These are connected via a joint (6) with an almost vertical axis. Near the joint, the tractor fastening has a fixed steering lever (7), projecting to the side at right angles. A steering rod (8) lies between the end of the lever and the trailer, parallel to the trailer fastening. Its length may be adjusted via a threaded spindle (9), which engages into a tube (10). The bearing axis of the second part and the steering rod defines a parallelogram.
