Threaded cable, line or hose fitting

A threaded cable or hose fitting has a threaded sleeve (3a) with clamping rings (3b,3c) that are tightened on to the cable or hose by the nut (1). The rings have longitudinal fingers which are inclined to any diametral plane through the rings. At their free end, these fingers have an outside diameter which is bigger than the inner diameter of the nut, so that they are moved inwards towards the cable or hose before the nut thread engages the sleeve thread. The thread of the nut and the largest outer diameter of the fingers are chosen so that they touch each other when the nut is fully pushed on, but not screwed down.
