The milling unit has several coaxial milling cutters and at least two milling heads at about the same height. On each milling head, at least two of the milling cutters (4-6) can be pushed axially one into the other, the internal outline of the outer milling cutter being greater than the external outline of the inner one. The individual milling cutters are each connected to a shaft (1-3). The shafts are of different diameters. An attachment milling cutter (8) may be coaxially connected to the inner milling cutter.
