摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the follow-up characteristic to displacement of a timing belt in a device energizing a pulley to the timming belt by setting the weight of a part to be displaced to the timming belt by the energizing force of energization means so as to satisfy a specified formula. SOLUTION: An auto-tensioner is provided with a swinging member 2 fitted eccentrically to a hollow shaft 1 so as to swing freely and a pulley 3. A bracket 11 is energized counterclockwise by a spring 13 and a case 10 rotates eccentrically around the axis of the shaft 1 so that the pulley 3 swings together with the case 10, while an end of the pulley 3 in the direction (-X) moves in the direction (-X), thereby giving tension to a timming belt 31. The weight (m) of a part to be displaced to the timing belt by the energization force is set to satisfy a formula (m)<=R(Fx 7.62×10<9> )/(Nr<2> ), where the energizing force of the spring 13 is F, and the maximum engine speed is Nr.
