The temperature rising preventing structure of a gas oven is capable of discharging waste gas from a combustion chamber at a rapid speed by means of a natural convection, to thereby prevent the temperature of the gas oven from rising. The temperature rising preventing structure in the gas oven having a fuel duct(34) connected to a combustion chamber(26) on which upper and lower burners(10,12) are installed, comprises: an air intake hole(20) formed between a grill(14) and a manipulating panel(40); an air passage(22) connected to the air intake hole(20); an insulating layer(30) formed on the upper surface of the inside of the combustion chamber(26) on the lower portion of the air passage(22); and a discharge hole(28) formed to be extended from the one side of the combustion chamber(28) and connected to the fuel duct(34).
