The belt line molding fixing structure is designed to fix a belt line molding to the top of a door panel bent at the top thereof to form a step portion, thereby making it easier to disengage and engage the belt. The structure includes a stopper provided with an engagement hole formed in the step portion of the door panel, and a projection projecting inside the outer part of the belt line molding whose bottom portion is open. The projection is detachably supported into the engagement hole of the stopper.
