The device includes a holder (13) which fits over the edge of the compact disc sleeve (2) and firmly retains it. The holder is formed from a deformable rubber material and can be opened to allow insertion of the disc sleeve, before springing back to grip the sleeve along one edge. The holder has a rounded tongue (14,17) along the edge opposite the disc and the tongue can be slid into complementary grooves (18) in the surface a storage rack. There is limited rotation of the tongue in the groove to ease inspection of the covers of the discs in the rack. The rack may be an upright pole or a straight rack.
