The member with pipes (18) for an energy-carrying fluid embedded in a thermal conducting material like a concrete layer has the pipes connected to a heat pump (30) acting as an absorber and a heat exchanger (40) of a warm water generator (42) acting as a collector. There are two separate pipe systems, one for the absorber and one for the collector. Either the heat pump or the heat exchanger is connected to the system. There is a valve (24) acting as a switch between the two which lies outside the member. The heat pump is connected to the warm water generator.
