The purpose of the invention is to provide a compact hydraulic shovel that can improve the efficiency of the fuel replenishing task even with upper turning bodies having limited space for disposition of a fuel tank, a fuel filling opening thereof, and the like. Provided is a compact hydraulic shovel comprising a lower traveling body 1, an upper turning body 2, a work device 4, an operator cab unit 12, a counterweight 13, and a fuel tank 15 that is mounted on the upper turning body 2 and is disposed so that a portion thereof overlaps the operator cab when viewed from above, wherein the compact hydraulic shovel comprises a fuel filling opening 28 that is provided so as to project from the top of the fuel tank 15, and a level gauge 30 that extends from the top face of the fuel tank 15 toward the side face so as to be parallel with the fuel filling opening 28 and that displays the surface level of the fuel. |
