PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic frequency controller provided with a wide frequency acquiring range capable of highly accurately estimating a frequency. SOLUTION: A 1/2 symbol delay detection type AFC part 11 performs delay detection suited to the wide frequency acquiring range. As the result of the delay detection, a rough frequency deviation is estimated. Based on the frequency deviation, a frequency deviation correction part 15 compensates the frequency deviation of reception signals. For the compensated reception signals, a 1 symbol delay detection type AFC part 13 performs the delay detection again. In this case, the highly accurate estimation of the frequency deviation is executed. Output from the 1/2 symbol delay detection type AFC part 11 and the output from the 1 symbol delay detection type AFC part 13 are added and highly accurate frequency deviation informationΔωEST is outputted.
