摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential gear device with a viscous type coupling which can reduce the manufacturing cost of a differential gear case. SOLUTION: Since the main body part 21 of a differential gear case 20 having a built-in differential gear mechanism and a built-in viscous type coupling; and a pair of the left and the right tubular parts 22 and 23 to which a bearing to support rotatable the main body part 21 are installed; are formed integral to the differential gear case 20 of this differential gear device 100, the manufacturing cost of the differential gear case can be reduced extensively. When a plate composite 30 is assembled in the main body part 21, a first plate set and a second plate set to compose the viscous type coupling are engaged to the differential gear case or to the side gear respectively in the rotating directions respectively, through the first and the second retainers of the plate composite respectively, the assembly of the differential gear device can be carried out very easily.
