Production of stabiliser concentrate for polyamide

Production of a stabiliser concentrate for polyamides is new, containing several stabiliser components (SC) and a binder, in which (a) the binder is a wax with an at least 15C alkylene chain and acid, amide and/or ester end group(s), with a setting point (tA) of 65-120 deg C and optionally containing highly disperse silica, (b) 0.5-20 wt.% of the SC, including the silica, has an average particle size (APS) of less than 2 mu and the other 99.5-80 wt.% has an APS of 2-200 mu , (c) the SC and the binder are intimately mixed with no liquid additives and without heating, and the mixture is compacted to tablets under a compression force (p) such that the mixture is heated to a temperature (tC) of at least 40 deg C and in the range of tA - 10-50 deg C, and (d1) at least two of the SC react together at tC under force p to form intermolecular solid bridges and/or (d2) at least two of the SC have different lattice structures, i.e. ionic and molecular lattice structures, and their crystal structures a re condensed by melting together at tC and force p.
