Leg-angle adjustment for wooden tripod stand

The adjustment regulates the angle at which the legs are spread apart, being particularly for a tripod. Each leg comprises a first half hinging on the stand head and formed by two parallel arms. Between the arms is a sliding second half, together with a locking member working against a stop. The member (9) turns on a transverse bolt (8) between the profiled arms (6) of the first half (5), and has several working faces at different radii from the bolt axis. In one or both end faces (19) of the member is a recess (20) offset in the radial direction from the bolt axis and containing a spring-loaded catch (21,22) engaging in other recesses (23) in the inside surface of one of the arms. The mounting (2) for the leg in the frame head (1) has one or more stops (28) on its side towards the locking member.
