The rotor proposed for electric motors including a laminated core (1) and a shaft (2) which extends out beyond the laminated core at each end and which is positively connected by means of insulating compound (3) to the laminated core. The insulating compound is produced by injection moulding in a die mould, the insulating layer (12) at the end faces of the laminated core, the collar-shaped sections of insulation (4, 5) between the coil ends and the shaft (2), and the lining (8) of the grooves in the laminated core being injection moulded at the same time.
