Adhesive join for aircraft parts

The adhesively joined parts (1,2) are together enclosed by and fixed to a telltale element (4) which indicates any change from original form and consists preferably of a plastically deformable element, notably a film or foil bonded into place. The connected parts (1,2) may give an overlapped flanged adhesive seam. When using foil, it necessarily expands when the adhesive join separates only to remain indicatively folded or pleated when the flange join re-sets as evidence of earlier movement etc.
